General Information
All prices are for the entire property and not on a per person basis. Prices include gas and electricity.

The usual booking week is Friday to Friday. The earliest self check in time is 3pm and departure is by 10am.
​
For your own safety please ensure you check the layout of the property upon arrival so that in an emergency you can get out quickly and easily. Please ensure you have identified the fire extinguisher (one in porch, one in kitchen) and fire blanket (on wall beside fridge in kitchen). Please keep children under close supervision especially when the gas fire is in use.
​
If you have any special requests then please advise us at the time of your booking. When a booking is requested via email or phone we will send an invoice directly to you (preferably by email as a pdf document) which will contain all details on how to make payment, room layouts and final payment date.

Furniture & Equipment Layout
​
Please specify at time of booking and prior to arrival if you would prefer the second bedroom to be set up as a twin or a king-size. A sofa bed, foldable single bed, cot & highchair are available for use at no additional cost, please request prior to arrival to allow them to be set up. No bedding is provided for the cot due to infant allergen concerns.

Included within cost
​
We provide the following consumables:
Kitchen: Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, dishcloth, tea towels, hand towel, bin bags
Bathrooms: Toilet roll, liquid soap, hand towel

Extensive kitchen equipment is supplied and includes plastic plates, bowls, cups, cutlery for children; garden dining plates and glasses. The property is fully cleaned between lets and there is no extra charge for cleaning unless extra heavy cleaning is required after you leave.

There is a telephone for incoming calls in the kitchen, contact details will be provided in your entry details. Outgoing calls are on an honesty basis and the tariff is noted on the honesty payment box beside the telephone. Please leave cash or arrange an electronic transfer for usage.

Linen & Towels
​
Linen and towels will be provided for the party size specified at time of booking, if there are any changes to the party size please advise prior to arrival.
​
Towels are provided for use within the cottage. If you expect to swim or visit a beach please bring your own towels for that purpose.
​
Pets
​
We occasionally accept dogs within Tigh Ban Lek upon request and ask that dogs are kept off all furniture and are never left alone in the cottage. Please note that the garden is not enclosed. If additional cleaning is required after a stay, we may charge an additional fee.

No smoking
​
We ask that guests do not smoke in the property.
​
Facilities
​
The cottage will be fully cleaned between lets. All bedding (apart from travel cot bedding) and towels are provided for your stay. If you require a change of bed linen and towels during your stay this can be arranged with 2 days notice for an additional charge. For stays of more than one week there will be a option to self change bed linen and towels at the end of each week if required, we will confirm these details with you prior to your arrival.

The cottage is heated by electric heaters, these should not be covered at any point. They run to a specific schedule which can be overridden if required, information on how to do this is within the cottage.

Water supply
​
Tigh Ban Lek is on a private water supply. The treatment consists of an ultra violet light and twin filtration. The local authority risk assess our supply each year which involves review of the source of the supply, catchment area, storage tank, treatment process and pipes.
​
Waste
​
The cottage is not on mains sewers and has its own septic tank to deal with waste from toilets and sinks. The septic tank will only accept biodegradable waste. Nappies, baby wipes, sanitary towels should not be placed into any toilets, nappy sacks are provided along with bins for your use.

Gas
​
The cottage is not on mains gas and has its own propane gas supply for the hob and gas fire. The gas supply is situated underneath the external staircase and should not be tampered with. There is a backup system to ensure loss of supply is not experienced unless in highly unusual circumstances. The safety of the supply is assessed each year by a qualified gas engineer.
